How do I set WRITE permissions
on the folder where images are uploaded?

- On the server, open Windows
Explorer and find the web folder where Ban Man Pro is
installed.
- Right Click on the Ads
folder and select Properties.

- Choose the
'Security' tab form the
dialog box window.
- Click the Advanced button
then Uncheck 'Allow inheritable
permissions from parent to propagate to this object',
from the bottom of the dialog box. Click OK.

- Find the ASP.NET user and
give them WRITE permissions in addition to the default
permissions.

- Now, find the account
called USERS and give them WRITE permissions as well.

- Complete the import
security setting below.
Important
Security Note: We recommend that you turn off Execute
permissions on this folder. To do so, find the /ads/
folder in Internet Information Services Manager (IIS) and change
the ads folder and set Execute Permissions to None as shown below.

- On the server, open Windows

- Under "Group or user
names" determine if you have an Internet Guest Account.
If you do, Highlight the Internet Guest Account by
selecting it with the mouse. Now, under Permissions for
Internet Guest Account, check Write permissions in
addition to those that are already checked. Click OK.
You are now finished changing the permissions. If you do
not have an Internet Guest Account, proceed to the next
section.

Adding the Internet Guest
Account
- If you did not see the
Internet Guest Account in step 5 above, click the Add button
to find and add the user.
- Next the
'Select Users or Groups'
dialog box will open. Click the advanced button on this
dialog box.

- In the list of users that is
shown, highlight 'IUSR_MyComputer'
account from the list by clicking on it. Where
'MyComputer' is this will be the
name of your computer. 'IUSER' is
the Internet Guest Account setup by default when IIS is
installed on the system. Click OK when finished.

- Click OK once more.

- Under "Group or user names"
highlight the Internet Guest Account by selecting it with the
mouse. Now, under Permissions for Internet Guest
Account, check Write permissions in addition to those that are
already checked. Click OK. You are now finished
changing the permissions.

- Complete the import
security setting below.
